DOUGLASSVILLE, PA · DRY VAN, REEFER & FLATBED TRAILER REPAIR
TRAILER REPAIR
The trailer takes as much abuse as the tractor pulling it — axles, brakes, doors, floors and wiring that keep freight moving and inspectors satisfied. Our ASE-certified technicians repair dry van, reefer, flatbed, lowboy and gooseneck trailers to DOT spec.
WHAT WE REPAIR
TRAILER SYSTEMS WE REPAIR
From the kingpin to the tail lights — trailer repair covers the whole unit, not just whatever’s obviously broken.
Trailer Axle & Suspension Repair
Axle alignment, hangers, bushings and air ride components specific to dry van, reefer, flatbed and lowboy trailers.
Trailer Brake Repair & Adjustment
Brake shoes, slack adjusters and ABS wiring on trailer axles, adjusted and repaired to DOT spec.
Trailer Electrical & Lighting Repair
7-pin connectors, ABS wiring, marker lights and brake lights — the electrical faults that get a trailer parked at inspection.
Door, Hinge & Latch Repair
Roll-up doors, swing doors, hinges, latches and seals that won't open, close or seal properly anymore.
Floor & Structural Repair
Soft spots, damaged crossmembers and frame welding on wood and aluminum trailer floors.
Landing Gear & Coupling Repair
Landing gear that's hard to crank, plus kingpin and upper coupler plate wear that affects hookup and towing safety.
A trailer sits outside, gets loaded and unloaded daily, and takes road vibration for hundreds of thousands of miles — it wears differently than the tractor, and it gets inspected just as strictly. At Fulmen Garage in Douglassville, PA, we repair the whole trailer: axles, brakes, electrical, doors and floor structure, on dry van, reefer, flatbed, lowboy and gooseneck units alike.

FAQ
TRAILER REPAIR QUESTIONS
Do you repair reefer trailers, or just dry vans?
We handle the trailer side of reefer units — structural, electrical, brakes, doors and floors — on dry van, reefer, flatbed, lowboy and gooseneck trailers alike. Refrigeration unit-specific repairs are coordinated as needed.
Can a damaged trailer floor actually be repaired, or does the whole floor need replacing?
Most floor damage is localized — a section of crossmembers or a few damaged floorboards — and can be repaired without replacing the entire floor. A full replacement only comes up when the damage is spread across most of the trailer.
Why do my trailer lights keep failing?
Repeated light failures usually point to a wiring or connector problem — corrosion at the 7-pin plug, a chafed harness, or a bad ground — rather than the bulbs themselves. We trace the circuit instead of just replacing bulbs one at a time.
Do you work on trailers that aren't currently pulling a load?
Yes — drop trailers, yard trailers and units sitting between loads are common. Bring it in whenever it works for your schedule; it doesn’t need to be hooked to a tractor.
How often should trailer brakes and axles be inspected?
At every DOT inspection and PM interval at minimum, but trailers that see rough roads, heavy loads or sit outdoors for long stretches benefit from more frequent checks — axle and brake wear isn’t always obvious from a walk-around.
How much does trailer repair cost?
It depends entirely on the trailer and the damage — a light repair is a different job than a floor or frame repair. We inspect first and give you a clear, itemized estimate before any work starts.
